Hello! This is called my commonplace page because when I watched a YouTube video about commonplace books and stuff it really inspired me to start my own so I do have a physical book where I keep receipts and do sketches and write about how I feel about everything and that book is really important to me so my hopes for this website is that it will be a similar outlet for me which I will be equally proud of!! I hope you enjoy looking around keep your eyes peeled. OBVIOUSLY WORK IN PROGRESS RN COME BACK L8R

Ok let me talk you through what we've got here. So. First we have the video essay entitled: 'convenience culture is killing our creative impulses'. So real. I watched this video and it made me think about this topic a bit more because this is something I'm already quite interested in. I do think that doing things that are inconvenient is important. Something that you care about SHOULD be worth the effort and I think I find myself thinking about like how I find a lot of things inspiring. Or I mean like I'll see some amazing piece of art on the internet that is really really cool and honest and I really resonate with and I just think like how could I ever achieve something like that it takes so much time and thought and dedication. But I should invest my time in art and being creative because it makes me feel good! Like it is actually healthy and helps me to understand myself and my perspective on the world and sometimes it feels like it would be really hard to commit to being actually fully creative with my time but it's not some crazy thing like come on it's not revision it's not work it's something that should feel really good and fun and be something I WANT to be doing. But when I can just bedrot like... It's so easy to fall into media consumption and it just drags me away from being creative which is really bad. And I want to change.
NEXT UP we have the music video for 'move with me' by Sophie Powers. Ngl I think I'm missing some of the lore because apparently she's gone on American Idol and done a completely differnt song as like a publicity stunt thing but I didn't find this from that I found it from a TikTok advert. And it was just a clip from this video and I was like IMMEDIATELY GET THIS IN MY EYES. Such cool vibes. I like the song but let's be real the video is the highlight it's such a cool video defo watch defo defo.
Now we have 'They Left Me With A Gun'. This just popped up on my YouTube feed one day and I was like oh this looks like it could be cool. Didn't realise it was a music video or anything but can't lie like I was right it is a cool video. I was really pleasantly surprised because I thought it was going to be cool but I thought it was going to be more of like a 2000s style video like vlog type of thing based on the thumbnail BUT it's actually a really cool music video? I believe? And part of a bigger series kind of thing I think there's one called they left me with a sword hence the sword at the end of this video. Wow who knew?
And then finally the Dsquared2 Fall/Winter 2025 featuring Doechii herself. Quickly quickly a story about when I watched this video. So I watched it on the TV when I got home on the sofa laid down tired. I watched probably like the first 10-15 mins before I fell asleep. LOVED IT. Loved. But in my dream I was like at a different fashion show and Gabriette was there and so like obvs Matty was there and someone was telling me about how Matty was there and I was freaking out. Don't remember too much else about what happened but that was the core and I think it's clear to see where my dream inspo came from. Anyway yeah loved the looks I don't really watch fashion shows but I had to get on this one for Doechii but I have to say I really enjoyed it really loved the looks it made me think about fashion and all that very cool have to say very cool. And Doechii was so good of course.
