Phoebe Bridgers - Punisher (2020)

OK I love Punisher. Yeah I said it and I'm not ashamed. To be completely honest though when Punisher ACTUALLY first came out Kel Lauren made a YouTube video where she was doing a poster for it and I watched the video obviously because I'm #1 Kel Lauren fan so I saw it and I was like wow I really love the poster I should give the album a cheeky listen to see if it's gonna change my life like I expected it would because I trust Kel's taste. But when I did first first listen to it I remember like reeeeeally not getting the hype and being like yeah I just don't get it it's not my thing so I just left Phoebe alone for a bit because I thought I didn't like her music but then one day I came back and I realised how good Phoebe actually is and I'm so sorry that I ever doubted your music Phoebe so so so sorry but it was meant to be and I came back so please forgive me please!!

Ok that was actually so unfair it's like picking a favourite child I can't do it. Every song on this album is so good and I'm not even kidding like they are all really really good and I love them all for different reasons. LISTEN TO PUNSIHER RIGHT NOW IT'S SO GOOOOOOD! Only if you're in the mood though like don't let it kill your vibe but if your vibe is vibing with Punisher get it in your ears right now what are you waiting for?

Memory

So a memory I have is that what actually got me into Punisher for real after the Kel Lauren situation is that somehow I listened to the Copycat Killer EP and I really really loved all the tracks on there so I think what happened initially is I wasn't ready for the sound of Phoebe Bridgers yet but in the Copycat Killer versions I could appreciate the lyrics in a different context and that's all I needed to become obsessed. So I listened to Copycat Killer like on repeat. Mostly Chinese Satellite if I remember correctly. And then of course I listened to the actual album and it was so good and now I just love her so much. And I've seen Graceland Too live not to brag when I went to see Boygenius in Halifax. Not to brag.
